Taganga

I am sitting in Taganga for the 4th time in a few weeks so I don't really know what to write here. Each time that I have been here it has been different but always good. Mostly I am here to chill out and get ready for the next adventure like Ciudad Perdida and Parque Tayrona but it is a cool town with some nice beaches, good restaurants and cool people. Every day I eat a nice baguette at my favorite spot that rivals any sandwich that I have had in new york and way beyond what you can get in Baltimore. Also great dinners and surprisingly good pizza and burgers on the beach.
Last Wednesday I came back here to surprise the Oregonians with Guido after we met up in Tayrona. It was a blast. We partied at Garaje with a bunch of birds until it closed and headed to the beach after that. We had a bunch of people with us including the international hippies from Peru, Colombia and Italy. In the middle of our party, a local started talking shit to the tiny Colombian from Cali (Colombia). After trying to explain to the little guy for about 10 minutes that there was no reason to fight and that he was just too small he finally lost his shit. He broke his beer bottle and charged the local then proceeded to get cracked in the head with a wood plank. His buddy from Peru jumped but it just turned out to be a wrestling match even know there were bottle flying everywhere. Me Guido and the brits moved to the other side of the beach for a few blifters and a ramble before finally heading back to our hostel around 7. Guido had a flight at 10 so I stayed up with him and then made some other friends at the pool who had not slept either. We hung out at the pool all day and I finally crashed around 4. Good times. Taganga is really just a small village but a great place to get stuck. There are many people here who have been here since I first arrived a few weeks ago and have not left yet. Tomorrow I'm heading to Zona Cafatera to check out some coffee plantations and some other cool stuff then head to the south of Colombia before going back to Bogota for a flight at some point. Good Times y Bueno Onda.
